Parts of State Route 224, I-76 closed because of an accident

AKRON, Ohio - The Akron Police Department closed off a busy stretch of its highway system after a semi accident Saturday afternoon.

A semi was traveling east on State Route 224 when it flipped near the Kenmore entrance ramp to Interstate 76 just after 11:30 a.m.

The road was re-opened to drivers before 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

No other information about the accident was available from police.
