DOVER, Ohio - Police are currently investigating the report of an attempted abduction this week .
An image of the suspect was crafted by the Bureau of Criminal Investigations as described by the victim.
According to Dover police, a 10-year-old boy was grabbed on his way home from school in the area of E. 4th Street and Lincoln Avenue around 4:30 p.m. on April 1.
The suspect dragged the boy approximately 10-12 feet before the boy was able to shake loose and run home.
The suspect was described as a black male, 42-45 in age, 5'9"-6'11" and having a thin build. The male had blue or turquoise eyes, short brown hair and a five o'clock shadow. The male did not wear glasses or have any visible tattoos.
He was last seen wearing yellow/gray shoes with a black beret.
After the attempted abduction, the male was seen running and jumping into a red jeep with a black top and spare tire on the back of the vehicle.
