AKRON, Ohio - A verbal argument between Akron roommates turned physical Thursday when both men used knives to stab each other, according to Akron police.

Jared Owens, 26, is behind bars at the Summit County Jail after being charged with felonious assault.

He had two minor cuts on his face and neck and was treated on scene, police said.

William Stutz, 51, was stabbed multiple times in the back, neck and face.

He was transported to the hospital, but his injuries do not appear to be life threatening, police said.

Officers responded to the stabbing on Ira Avenue near the Edison Avenue intersection at approximately 4 p.m.
