LAKEMORE VILLAGE, Ohio - Springfield Township Police arrested a man who barricaded himself inside a residence for three hours.
Officers were attempting to serve an active warrant for James C. Barrett on Springfield Lake Drive in the Village of Lakemore at 5:30am Saturday.
Barrett barricaded himself inside the residence and would not comply with repeated requests for his surrender. METRO S.W.A.T. was activated and responded to the scene.
Around 830am, Mr. Barrett exited the residence and was arrested by METRO S.W.A.T. Team members. Barrett was charged with obstructing justice and inducing panic.
He is currently being held at the Portage County Jail on outstanding felony warrants for aggravated menacing and violation of a protection order.
