AKRON, Ohio - A quick-thinking pizza delivery man scared off a robber in Akron Saturday night.
Just before 10 p.m., the Domino’s Pizza driver dropped off some food on Clement Street. Akron police said while he was walking back to his car, a man with a handgun came up to him and demanded money.
The driver started screaming “Get out of here!” while running back towards the house. Police said the robber went towards the car, but that’s when the driver hit the alarm. The man fled towards Ray Street as the car’s lights and horn activated.
Nothing was stolen from the driver. The suspect, who was between 16 to 25 years old, was wearing a black hooded-sweatshirt, and was between 5 foot 10 and 6 feet.
Anyone with information should contact the Akron Police Department.
