Romig Road shooting leaves one dead

AKRON, Ohio - The Akron Police Department and the Summit County Coroner’s Office are investigating the death of a man on Romig Road early Sunday morning.
Detectives said the shooting happened inside of the Ace of Spades Nightclub, located at 2511 Romig Road in Akron around 2:00 a.m. Sunday.
The victim, a 26-year-old man of Grace Avenue in Akron, was shot inside the club following an altercation. He was found with a gunshot wound to his abdomen outside the nightclub where he collapsed.
The victim was then transported to Akron General Medical Center where he later died.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending positive identification and family notifications.
No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Akron Police Department, Detective Bureau at 330-375-2490. Callers can remain anonymous.
