LAKEMORE, Ohio - A Summit County man asked cops for a ride home then got nabbed, according to police.
At about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, officers said they were investigating a suspicious person at the Tri-County Plaza at 1500 Canton Road in Lakemore.
Daniel Beaver, 33, of Springfield Township, told officers he had been waiting for a cab for more than a half hour and then asked them for a courtesy ride home.
First, officers had to perform a consensual search. In doing that, they found a women’s pursed stuff in Beaver’s coat, which they said he had stolen from a patron at a local gaming room.
Beaver was booked into Summit County Jail on charges of Receiving Stolen Property, Drug Abuse and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
