AKRON, Ohio - A group of Ohio Army National Guard soldiers will return home Saturday afternoon.
The 1484th Transportation Company left to serve in Afghanistan in June 2011.
After a year away from their families, the 180 soldiers will be welcomed home with a ceremony at the James A. Rhodes Arena in Akron.
This was the second tour overseas for the unit. They were deployed to Iraq in 2004.
