More than 20 pot plants found in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Cleveland man arrested

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio - Police have arrested a man after a marijuana grow operation was found in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

More than 20 pot plants and an irrigation system were discovered near Bath Road and Riverview Road, Cuyahoga Falls police said.

David A. Weir, 50, of Cleveland, was taken into custody by the Cuyahoga Falls narcotics unit and the National Park Service at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday nearby.

Weir faces charges for cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of criminal tools, which are all fifth-degree felonies. He was taken to the Summit County Jail.
