Mechanic dies after being crushed by pneumatic lift at Xtreme Elements in Tallmadge

CLEVELAND - A 48-year-old Akron man is dead after getting pinned under a pneumatic lift machine at Xtreme Elements.
Mechanic Dale Vacha, 48, was killed on Saturday while working on construction equipment, which was on a pneumatic lift, officials said.
A co-worker found Vacha pinned underneath the lift around 11:45 a.m. The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office said Vacha was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday afternoon.
