CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio - A man's body was found on the rocks in Gorge Park in Summit County Monday afternoon.
The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office said hikers discovered the body at about 4:45 p.m. in the park off Front Street in Cuyahoga Falls.
According to the ME's office, the body was lying on the rocks about 40 feet below the walking trail.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He has since been identified as 51-year-old Daniel Short of Cuyahoga Falls.
"An autopsy has been completed and the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the chest. The manner of death is pending so that further testing and investigation can be done," said Gary Guenther, chief investigator for the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office.
No other details about the incident have been released, including whether this was related to the severe weather from Hurricane Sandy.
