HUDSON, Ohio - Hudson High School was placed on lockdown Wednesday morning after a scare and mix-up.

Hudson’s superintendent sent a message to parents saying that a person was seen with a rifle in the school parking lot.

However, it turned out to be an employee of Hudson Community Television carrying an umbrella.

Schools have been extra cautious and on alert since Adam Lanza opened fire inside Sandy Hook Elementary School on Friday in Newtown, Conn., killing 26 people.
