GREEN, Ohio - A gas leak in a water tank delayed class for students at Green Middle School on Monday morning.
Green Middle School administrators said the principal called the fire department after smelling what he thought was a sulfur odor shortly after he arrived to the school at 6:45 a.m.
Students had not yet arrived to school.
Teachers met the seventh- and eighth-grade students as they arrived for 7:30 a.m. classes and escorted them to the nearby Green Intermediate School.
Fire officials arrived and notified Dominion East Ohio.
Gas company crews discovered a leak in a water tank and repaired it.
Students were back in their classrooms around 8:30 a.m.
No one was in danger or hurt.
