NORTON, Ohio - Norton police and the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating after a woman died trying to cross a highway Wednesday night.

Laura Rollins, 33, of Doylestown was killed when she was struck by a Jeep Grand Cherokee while trying to cross State Route 21 at Eastern Road at approximately 11 p.m., according to authorities.

They said Rollins was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:17 p.m.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
