AKRON, Ohio - A fast-food restaurant employee turned a water hose on suspected robbers on Wednesday and it was caught on camera.
Akron police said that two men tried to rob the Church’s Chicken on South Arlington Street just before noon.
One of the suspects pointed a gun.
A manager, who was doing the dishes, grabbed a hose to sprayed hot water on crooks. The two ran out the back door, but returned within seconds and got sprayed again.
Police are looking for the men. Officers said they were involved in a previous robbery at the same Church’s Chicken on Sunday night. In that case, the crooks stole about $30.
Hithem Judeh, who owns a drive-thru business across the street, said he knows many of the workers at the fast food restaurant and believes the manager took action because the business has been robbed several times.
"It takes something to take a hose at somebody while he has a gun. The guy is probably just so fed up," Judeh said.
