TWINSBURG, Ohio - A car accident caused power outages in Twinsburg Thursday afternoon.

Police said a car swerved on Ravenna Road at about 3 p.m. and hit a utility pole, knocking out electricity to the area. Ohio Edison is at the scene and said it will be several hours before power is restore, Twinsburg police said.

Ravenna Road between East Idlewood Drive and Presidential Parkway is closed.

The Twinsburg City School District canceled all evening activities Thursday at Chamberlain Middle School, Dodge Intermediate and Twinsburg High School.
