AKRON, Ohio - An Akron man was arrested after police say he threw his 3-month-old daughter off of a porch.
Carl C. Honorable, 28, came home to his West North Street residence drunk and got into a fight with his child’s mother on March 24, according to Akron police.
Honorable went into the house and set his 3-month-old into her car seat, but did not fasten her into the seat. Akron police said while he continued to argue with the baby’s mother, he threw the child in the car seat off the top step of the porch. The baby rolled out of the seat and onto the ground.
The baby was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital, where doctors determined she had a broken left leg before she was thrown to the ground.
Honorable was charged with felonious assault, felony child endangering, domestic violence and criminal damaging. Akron police said additional charges are expected.
