Akron, Ohio - Akron police are investigating the shooting death of a 24-year-old man that happened just before 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
Richard Coryell of New Franklin was involved in a dispute in the 1500 block of Elinor Street near E. Market Street in Akron when he was shot. The altercation started in the parking lot of Old Haunts Tavern when shots were fired, and Coryell was found on the sidewalk with a fatal gunshot wound.
Coryell was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office said an autopsy is planned for Saturday.
Akron police said no arrests have been made. They are asking that anyone with information about the shooting is contact the department at 330-375-2552.
