SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Two people were arrested after police found an active meth lab at a motel in Summit County Thursday.
According to the Springfield Township Police Department, officers acted on anonymous tip and found the methamphetamine lab at the Red Roof Inn on South Arlington Road.
Police arrested 36-year-old John Kim and 35-year-old Carrie Kim, both of Akron.
John Kim is facing these charges:
- Illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs
- Illegal assembly/possession of chemicals to manufacturer
- Endangering children
Carrie Kim is facing these charges:
- Illegal manufacture of drugs
- Illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs
- Endangering children
Police said this was the sixth meth lab raided in August by police in both Springfield Township and the village of Lakemore. In all, eight people were arrested in connection with the drug labs.
