CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio - Two dozen Cuyahoga Falls couples chose 12-12-12 to get married or renew their wedding vows.
"It'll be 89 years until the calendar once again reflects the day, month, and the year that are all the same," said Mayor Don Robart, who performed the ceremonies.
Bryan and Anna Lowe renewed their vows after 12 years of marriage. Their two children and Bryan's father came to the ceremony.
"We actually have my father-in-law here this time," Anna said. "Before we didn't have anybody. It was just us and the justice of the peace and a good friend of ours. That was it."
A meeting room at the city's natatorium was turned into a wedding chapel for the evening. After each ceremony, the bride and groom and their guests were treated to a reception complete with a DJ and dancing.
"It was just really special, 12-12-12, "said bride Megan Willochell, whose brother was married on 12-12-12. Her new husband, Raymond, said he believes 12-12-12 will be good luck.
"Hopefully, I shouldn't forget our date," he said.
