AKRON, Ohio - Practice rounds are being held Wednesday at the Firestone Country Club in Akron for the Bridgestone Invitational.
The gates open to the public at 7:30 a.m.
Fans can get autographs and take pictures with their favorite golf professionals.
Over the next five days, 80,000 people are expected to visit the country club for the pro golf tournament.
Executive Director, Don Padgett, said the tournament brings more than $21 million dollars to northeast Ohio annually.
"That enables us to give back over a million dollars to charity each year. We help a lot of great causes throughout the area," Padgett said.
Fans will notice a couple of new elements at the Firestone this year. First, there's the Bridgestone Green Monster Challenge.
"It's a replica of the 16th hole, the signature hole at Firestone, and fans will get a try - a shot - to see how the pros face it during the tournament," Padgett said.
Also, there's a new spectator area with a large TV screen behind the 10th green. Golf fans can grab some food and watch the players compete.
Here's a short list of some of the players' practice round times:
Brandt Snedeker will be practicing at 9 a.m.
Justin Rose at 11:30am.
Rory McIlory at noon.
Tiger Woods will practice at 1:15 p.m.
