AKRON, Ohio - A verbal fight outside an Akron bar and grill turned violent Saturday night when one man hit another in the head with a hammer, according to Akron police.
Officers responded to a fight in the parking lot of Cliffside Key Club on South Main Street near the West Waterloo Road intersection just before midnight.
Police said the 45-year-old victim reported he was in a verbal fight before the suspect hit him several times in the head and face with a hammer.
Police said the victim had injuries on his face and head. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The suspect left the scene after the attack. No charges have been filed.
