21-year-old found guilty of murder outside of Akron bar

AKRON, Ohio - A 21-year-old Akron man was found guilty of killing another man outside a bar earlier this year.

Anthony T. Hill got into a fight with 24-year-old Richard A. Coryell outside the Old Haunts Tavern on April 12.

Prosecutors said Coryell’s rap group had performed before he was shot. He was found on the sidewalk and pronounced dead that the scene.

On Wednesday, a Summit County jury found Hill guilty of two counts of murder and three counts of felonious assault. He will be sentenced on Jan. 9.
