Transformer explosions cause smoke in Canton area

CANTON, Ohio - Two electric transformers exploded Sunday morning in Canton, causing smoke to fill the area.

NewsChannel5 viewers said smoke could be seen as far away as Hartville and Alliance.

Canton police and firefighters were on scene, but a Canton police dispatcher said there was no fire.

The incident happened at a business on Warner Road Southeast in Canton.

No injuries were reported.
