Sweeper manufacturing returning to former Hoover plant along with Joe Namath portable stove

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Sweepers will be manufactured again at the former Hoover plant in North Canton.

Suarez Manufacturing Industries will be building the EdenPURE Perfect Storm sweeper at their facility on Orchard Avenue NE.

Ben Suarez, the president and owner of the company, also is teaming up with Hall of Fame Quarterback Joe Namath.

At a press conference Tuesday morning, the two men introduced the Namath Portable Stove, an electric stove that Namath said can be used in the kitchen, on the patio, camping or tailgating.

The hope is that the popularity of "Broadway Joe" Namath will help the marketing and sales of the product. Suarez expects the new products to initially create hundreds of new jobs. If sales go well, it could create thousands of new jobs for the North Canton business.

In true "Broadway Joe" form, Namath first thanked the ladies in attendance, then talked about how important he thought it was to bring more jobs back the the city.
