NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Police in North Canton are searching for the two men involved in a home invasion robbery in which a shot was fired early Monday morning.
The incident happened at about 1:18 a.m. in an apartment on Applegrove St. NE.
According to North Canton police, two men with guns kicked in the front door, ransacked the apartment and robbed the three people inside.
Police said the robbers took personal items and cash from the victims, who were accosted during the ordeal but not hurt.
While in a back bedroom, police said one of the robbers fired a bullet into the ceiling from what’s believed to be a semi-automatic handgun.
The robbers were able to get away. Police are trying to figure out why they targeted that particular apartment.
