PLAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Authorities have found the body of a 19-year-old man who drowned late Thursday in Stark County.
According to Stark County Coroner Investigator Rick Walters, rescue crews were called out around 7:30 p.m. to the area of 55th Street and Harmont after a teen went underwater and did not come back up.
The Village of Green deployed their dive team and Plain Township Fire also responded to the scene.
Around 9:30 p.m. the water rescue became a water recovery. The body was pulled from the water at about noon Friday.
Investigator Rick Walters says the body of water is about 60 feet deep in one area, and that the recovery could have taken several days due to a heavy current flowing in two directions.
The body of water belongs to Central Allied Enterprise.
