LOUISVILLE, Ohio - A passerby called police after spotting a wandering 2-year-old Sunday evening.
According to Louisville Police, a passerby spotted the boy walking along SR 44 around 5:30 p.m. Sunday and called police.
Officers arrived at the scene and located the boy, who led officials back to his apartment where his father was found sleeping.
Dad was woken by cops and admitted to smoking marijuana, investigators said.
Officers located marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and arrested Daniel Jay Phillips, 23.
Phillips was booked at the Stark County Jail on charges of child endangering, drug possession and drug paraphernalia, He was later released on bond and is scheduled for arraignment Tuesday, Aug. 7 at 9 a.m. at Canton Municipal Court.
The toddler was released to his grandmother and was unharmed.
