PERRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Police in Perry Township continue to investigate a fatal shooting at Hype Ultra Dance Club.
Authorities were called to the club, on Lincoln Way East in Massillon, for shots fired shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday.
Once at the scene, officers found the victim shot inside the club. The victim, who has not yet been identified, was rushed to Aultman Hospital where he later died.
An investigation revealed a fight took place before the gunfire erupted and led to the person police said was responsible for firing the rounds.
Dominique Williams, 22, has been arrested and charged with murder. Police said he had no permanent address.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim's family and friends from last night's senseless tragedy," a Facebook post on Hype's wall states.
The case remains under investigation and police ask anyone with information about the incident to call the Perry Township Police Department at (330) 478-5121 and ask to speak with the detective bureau.
