Massillon woman walking home from work is hit by car, dies

MASSILLON, Ohio - A Massillon woman was struck and killed while crossing the street on her way home from work on Monday.
Neivada D. Toland, 24, was walking home from the Massillon McDonald’s at about 9:55 p.m. when she was hit by a car on state Route 172, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
Toland was taken to Affinity Hospital in Massillon then Aultman Hospital in Canton. Troopers said she died on Tuesday from her injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
