ALLIANCE, Ohio - Residents in the city of Alliance who have been without heat since Friday have been restored.
Ken Stammen, a spokesperson for Columbia Gas, said their crews have restored all but 2 of their customers.Crews are having trouble gaining access into the remaining home and business that need to be checked.
Columbia Gas is asking these residents to return home and call 1-800-344-4077 so Columbia can send a service person out to them to turn the gas back on.
Columbia Gas reported they had to turn off the gas supply on the north end of town to make a repair.
According to Columbia Gas, service was shut off Friday afternoon and they expect everyone to be back up and running by Saturday evening.
Officers are asking anyone with elderly family in the area to check on them.
The City of Alliance also opened the neighborhood center for people to come and stay until the gas is turned back on.
The neighborhood center is located at the corner of Linden and High Street.
