Canton woman with seafood allergy attacked by man with fish, police say

CANTON, Ohio - A man attacked a Canton woman with a baseball bat and fish Thursday afternoon, police say.

The felonious assault happened at about 4 p.m. at a house on 6th Street Southwest.

The 36-year-old victim told Canton police that the man grabbed her and rubbed fish in her face, before hitting her in the back with a bat. The police report said the woman has a seafood allergy and suffered a reaction.

The woman said she knew the attacker, but he was not arrested.
