Canton police make arrest in connection to death of toddler

CANTON, Ohio - A Canton man has been charged in connection to the death of a toddler.
Canton Police said 24 year-old Burt Kelly, of 11th Street NW, was charged with child endangering and is being held with child endangering.
On Friday, medics responded to the address for a report of a child not breathing. They found 18-month-old Serenity Jordan and took her to Mercy Medical Center. From there, she was transferred to Akron Children's Hospital where she died.
Police said another child at the home was placed with relatives. More charges are expected to be filed against Kelly.
