CANTON TWP., Ohio - A Stark County bicyclist is recovering after being run over by a vehicle late Thursday night.
Troopers with the Canton post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the man was riding his bicycle along 53rd Street Southeast when he crashed into a car near the intersection of Cleveland Avenue Southwest.
Moments later while still lying in the road, troopers said the bicyclist was run over by a second vehicle at the intersection.
Neighbors tell NewsChannel5 the bicyclist was pinned beneath the vehicle until another neighbor used a car lift to free the man.
According to troopers, alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
No arrests have been made.
The accident remains under investigation.
