Police: Victim uncooperative, suspect at large after overnight shooting in Canton

CANTON, Ohio - A Canton man is recovering after being shot on the city’s northwest side early Thursday morning.

Around midnight, Canton police were called to the area of Shorb Avenue NW and Wilson Place NW for a shooting.

On scene, police and paramedics located a man who had been shot.

According to police, the man was taken to Mercy Medical Center.

The extent of his injuries is not yet known.

According to police, the victim became uncooperative with investigating officers following the shooting.

So far, no arrests have been made in connection with this shooting.
