COLUMBUS, Ohio - State law enforcement officials are asking for the public’s help to catch a convicted sex offender from Richland County who has evaded police for several years.
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine said 31-year-old Juan Jose Gonzalez last registered his address as being in Mansfield. In 2003, he was found guilty of unlawful sexual conduct with a juvenile girl.
DeWine said that after Gonzalez was released form prison, he was arrested in 2005 for violating probation and returned to prison until April 2006.
A warrant was issued six months later when DeWine said Gonzalez didn’t register his address.
Tattoos may help someone identify Gonzalez. He has the words “Brown Side” on the left side of his neck, an Aztec Indian tattoo on his back and a picture of a mother and two angels on his chest.
Anyone with information about Gonzalez is asked to contact the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation at 1-855-224-6446 (BCI-OHIO).
