Students evacuated after hand sanitizer dispenser fire in Kent State dorm

KENT, Ohio - Fire broke out at a Kent State University dorm early Friday morning.

According to KSU officials, the fire broke out on the eighth floor of Koonce Hall around 2:30 a.m.

Apparently, someone set fire to a hand sanitizer dispenser.

There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Students have since been permitted back into their dorms.
