STREETSBORO, Ohio - Step2 will be adding 200 jobs in Streetsboro and Perrysville, thanks to Ohio’s Tax Credit Authority.
The Step2 Company, which builds children’s playhouses and other outdoor toys, hopes to create 125 full-time positions in Streetsboro at the global headquarters, the company announced on Friday.
“Recent successful new products in the children’s toy category and home and garden category – as well as new product development initiatives yet to hit the market – are driving the employment growth in our two Ohio manufacturing sites,” said Jack Vresics, president and CEO, in a news release on Friday.
In the Village of Perrysville in Ashland County, the manufacturer expects to add 75 full-time jobs.
The company has not released any information on when the hiring process will begin.
On Monday, Gov. John Kasich and the Tax Credit Authority granted $259 for 17 projects, including the Step2 Company.
