Ravenna woman dies after being hit by car

RAVENNA, Ohio - A Ravenna woman was killed when she was hit by a car Tuesday evening.

The crash happened on state Route 88 in Freedom Township at about 6:21 p.m.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a 52-year-old Windham man was driving south when he hit Linda Cain, 62, with his Chrysler Sebring.

She was taken by Life Flight to Akron City Hospital, where she died as a result of her injuries.

Troopers said the crash is still under investigation.
