ATWATER, Ohio - The Portage County Sheriff's Department is investigating an Atwater Township murder.
Authorities said the homicide happened in the 2200 block of Alliance Rd. around 2:29 a.m.
When police arrived after receiving a shots fired call, they found Kevin Bailey dead with a gunshot wound to his upper torso.
An autopsy is pending.
Sheriff's deputies say the person who allegedly shot Bailey is cooperating with them.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Portage County Sheriff's Detective Bureau.
