MOGADORE, Ohio - A Mogadore police officer was arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at another officer while drunk.
The incident happened Tuesday during a party at 43-year-old Mark Halliwill’s home on Virgil Street, according to the Portage County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said Halliwill was intoxicated when he pointed the semi-automatic handgun at the other officer. The gun was not discharged during the incident and no one was hurt.
Halliwill was charged with felonious assault and weapons while intoxicated.
Deputies said Halliwill was placed on paid administrative leave. His next court hearing is scheduled for Jan. 11 at 10 a.m.
