Kent tanning salon robbed on Friday; Suspect drove off in black Mazda

KENT, Ohio - A man claiming to have a gun robbed a tanning salon in Kent on Friday.

The man went into Darque Zone Tanning on East Main Street at about 12:15 p.m. and told the employee he had a gun, Kent police said. He took cash from the register before getting into a black, four-door Mazda 6.

The suspect was about 5 foot 10 and weighed 160 pounds. Police said he was wearing a dark gray hooded-sweatshirt, blue jeans and a ski mask.
