KENT, Ohio - A blaze Saturday at a building owned by Kent State University sent one firefighter to the hospital.
The fire broke out around 5:20 a.m. Saturday on South Lincoln Street. Officials said the home was vacant at the time.
While the cause of the blaze has not yet been determined, fire investigators said it will have to be torn down due to the extent of the damage.
The Kent firefighter who was injured battling the blaze was treated and released from Akron City Hospital.
Fire crews had the blaze under control by 7 a.m.
