STREETSBORO, Ohio - Streetsboro police are alerting the public after a black bear was sighted in several portions of the city.
Officers posted photos of the bear submitted by Streetsboro resident Kevin Aalkema to the department’s Facebook page .
According to police, the bear was spotted Wednesday along Cisar Drive and then to the east on Pike Parkway and Meldon Drive.
If you encounter a bear, or any other wild animal, police advise you do not approach it. Instead, make a noise and travel in the opposite direction. Once safe, report the sighting to police immediately.
