ROOTSTOWN, Ohio - The Portage County Drug Task Force says it arrested 31 people Friday following a seven-month investigation into drug deals in the city of Ravenna.
Undercover task force officers made over 100 drug transactions in Ravenna, according to a news release.
Those officers were able to purchase cocaine, heroin, meth, marijuana, ecstasy and prescription drugs inside residences, restaurants and on city streets.
And the evidence they collected during the investigation led the Portage County Grand Jury to indict 31 people.
Task force detectives and members of other law enforcement served arrest warrants starting at 7 a.m. Friday, according to the news release. By 10:30 a.m., all 31 suspects were arrested.
The county's Department of Jobs and Family Services removed six children from homes where parents were arrested.
Six cars were also seized during the operation.
