WADSWORTH, Ohio - Drivers should expect traffic delays on Interstate 76 near Wadsworth. Construction is underway in the area.
The westbound entrance from State Route 261 to I-76 westbound closed on Sept. 9. Additionally, half-width construction has started on the I-76 westbound exit ramp to State Route 94 with the ramp remaining open to traffic.
Once construction is complete on the SR 261 ramp, the westbound on ramp at SR 94 will then be closed -- likely around Sept. 16.
The closures are planned to alleviate safety concerns for merging traffic onto I-76 from the ramps, while completing the ramp acceleration and driving lane work.
Travelers are advised to use extreme caution when maneuvering these areas.
ODOT District 3 in Ashland is responsible for this project, which involves construction on I-76 between State Route 57 and the Summit County line.
