BRUNSWICK, Ohio - A  Panera Bakery-Cafe is on track to open by the end of the year in the Brunswick Town Center.

Negotiations with the restaurant chain which specializes in bagels, artisan bread and sandwiches have been ongoing with the city for several months.

The proposed 4,663-square-foot restaurant is expected to be located at 1405 Parschen Boulevard , just south of  Panini's restaurant.

Covelli Enterprises said they plan to open four additional bakery-cafes in the coming months in University Circle, Brunswick, Twinsburg and Mayfield areas.

The University Circle location will be the first to open on Tuesday, August 21. The Brunswick, Twinsburg and Mayfield bakery-cafes are scheduled to open in late 2012.

“We are thrilled to bring Panera Bread to additional communities in the Cleveland area,” said Sam Covelli,CEO of Covelli Enterprises, owner and operator of the restaurant and the largest franchisee of Panera Bread.  “As we continue to grow in Northeast Ohio, we are committed to creating jobs and contributing to the neighborhoods in which we serve."

Between 80 and 100 jobs are expected to be created at each of the restaurants set to open by years end.
