BRUNSWICK, Ohio - Parishioners at St. Ambrose Church celebrated the Advent season with a living nativity Saturday night.
But like people in so many communities across the country, the evil that happened in Connecticut Friday morning is weighing on the minds of people in Northeastern, Ohio.
"It's hard to explain something tragic like this to a child," said Medina resident Rob Brooks.
Parishioners prayed for the victims of the shooting at Saturday night mass and signed cards that will be sent to the Connecticut town.
"The best thing we can do is create strong families, " said St. Ambrose Pastor Bob Stec. "I think the most important thing that we can do to help all of us, especially the young people is bring them close to the Lord," added Stec.
