WADSWORTH, Oh - An Akron man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting is now in custody, arrested early Sunday morning in Wadsworth.
According to Wadsworth police, officers picked up 24 year-old Daniel Stoddard at around 8:20 a.m. Sunday morning at the Legacy Inn on High Street.
Akron police contacted Wadsworth just after 5 a.m. Sunday morning with a request to search for a suspect vehicle believed to be involved with a double shooting earlier Sunday.
Wadsworth police located the vehicle parked at the Legacy Inn. Wadsworth police officers, along with Medina County Sheriff's Deputies, and the Medina County S.W.A.T. team, surrounded the motel.
At around 8:20 a.m. Sunday morning, officers burst into the Stoddard's hotel room and arrested the 24-year-old.
Stoddard is now in custody of the Akron police department and faces charges of aggravated murder, attempted aggravated murder and felonious assault.
