MEDINA, Ohio - The Medina Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, in partnership with Feeding Medina County, is hosting “Can The Cruiser.”
The highway patrol is asking that residents fill the cruiser with canned goods. The event is Dec. 13 and 14 at Buehler’s Fresh Foods, 275 Forest Meadows Dr. with a cruiser will be on display from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Teddy Trooper will be on hand to greet the public on both days. On Friday, Santa will be joining Teddy Trooper.
Items most in need:
- Protein: Spaghetti and meatballs, ravioli, lasagna, stews, soups, tuna, and peanut butter
- Grains: Cereal (whole grain, individual), rice, pasta, dried beans
- Fruits: Canned fruit/fruit cups, dried fruit (raisins, plums, cranberries), applesauce, 100 percent juice and juice boxes
- Canned vegetables
- Kid- Friendly items: Fat free, sugar-free pudding cups, granola bars, popcorn, graham and/or animal crackers
